Our wonderful week at school with exhilarating scientific experiments!

Our fabulous week has been filled with excitement, especially in RE where we have been looking at the importance of stories to the Sikh religion. We looked at the story ‘The milk and the Jasmine flower’ which we acted out and discussed its special meaning. We are really looking forward to making clay pots in art to represent kindness to others.

In English, we’ve been starting to write our BBC 500 words story focusing on ensuring that we have a super ending. You might wonder why we are starting at the end of our story? Did you know that many authors, such as JK Rowling, write the ending of their last book before they even start writing their first book!
In Maths, we have been enjoying learning about long multiplication; we have been exploring how models link to the column method. For example, why we need to use a zero as a place holder.

This week’s super Science has been a blast; we sorted materials into groups using a Venn diagram. We explored different scientific stations and had to try and answer questions including what materials make the bulb brighter and what do repel and attract mean?

We hope you have enjoyed reading our blog this week,
